Areas of Specialty: disability planning, RCMP members, northern residents, tax savings, evidence-based investing.

Jason provides virtual advice-only planning to Canadians living with disabilities and their caregivers.  He helps clients navigate the Disability Tax Credit, RDSP, and various provincial and federal support programs.  He also assists caregivers set up estate plans to ensure their loved one with a disability receives lifetime financial support.

Jason’s own life experiences allow him to relate to his clients on a personal level.  For a few years in his forties, he couldn’t work or parent due to a strange disabling medical condition.  He and his wife also care for a relative with unique needs.

Before helping Canadians with their finances, Jason served seventeen years with the RCMP.  He worked homicide, drugs, organized crime, undercover operations and Emergency Response Team duties in BC and Yukon.  He respects the personal sacrifices that RCMP members make to keep Canadians safe and now also enjoys helping fellow police officers with their finances.  He understands RCMP members’ unique financial planning needs when dealing with physical transfers, pension decisions, interruptions in their spouse’s employment, and Veteran’s Affairs support.

Jason takes the time to get to know his clients’ hopes, concerns and true values before offering any solutions.  He then digs into their financial documents to find “clues” and evidence-based strategies that will improve their situation.  He’s passionate about fee-for-service planning and how it helps hard-working Canadians reduce stress, make informed choices, save time, and align their money with their values and goals.

Jason lives in the beautiful Yukon with his wife, three busy sons, and golden retriever.
